There are three significant national parks in the city that I’ll discuss first in this blog– Fort Caroline National Memorial, Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve, and Kingsley Plantation. And each tell a different story of Jacksonville’s rich history and diverse ecology.
Fort Caroline National Memorial
Historical Significance: This Jacksonville park is home to a replica of the 16th-century French Colonial Fort Caroline, highlighting Jacksonville’s early European history.
